Welcome to Grace Baseball!

Grace Baseball Academy offers a full range of baseball skills instruction and services, from private and group lessons to consulting and guest speaking. Coach Shane Jones is a high school teacher and vice-principal who has been working with youth for over 15 years, coaching in both Canada and the United States. He has worked for the Toronto Blue Jays for seven seasons as an instructor, and has worked for both Athletes in Action and Scripture Union Sportz.

Shane Jones is an experienced coach, having coached at the elementary, middle school, high school, and university levels in a variety of sports. Following his relief-pitching for Tennessee Temple University, Shane graduated and began his coaching career. At Grace Academy, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he spent 5 years building a high school team into a steady winner, guiding the Golden Eagles from a 2-15 season record to a school record 19-8 in his final year! Coach Jones' resume includes coaching several players who received scholarships, an All-State Outfielder (1998), 3 of the Top 10 Hitters in Chattanooga, TN. (1998), a 2003 and 2004 Draft Pick of the Montreal Expos, a recent graduate and baseball alumni of Marshall University, and several players recognized by the media for their outstanding accomplishments.

Shane lives in the Toronto area with his wife and daughter.

About the Academy...

Grace Baseball Academy offers instruction by highly qualified instructors who understand what it takes to improve in the game. Your student will be taught many of the same drills and skills that professional players use and those which college and university coaches are looking for. Not only are baseball skills taught, but life applications will also be made through the various drills. Baseball is a game, but it has much to teach us about life. Coach Jones is a successful coach and has had several players who have received U.S. college scholarships and also who have been respected for their off-field character. It is the goal of Grace Baseball to see more students succeed in both the game of baseball and the game of life.
